JULIE CHU

These photos of Julie Chu were taken at St. Louis Blues Hockey Fest in June 2008. According to Wikipedia, "Julie Chu (born March 13 1982) is an American Olympic ice hockey player who plays the position of forward on the Women's Ice Hockey team. She stands at a height of 5’8”. Chu's hometown is Fairfield, Connecticut, although she resided in Cambridge, Massachusetts during her college years. She now lives in Minneapolis – Saint Paul, Minnesota where she trains and plays for the US National Team. In 2007-08 she worked as an Assistant Coach for the University of Minnesota-Duluth and helped them win a NCAA Division I National Championship in Women's Ice Hockey."
"Chu is the first woman of Asian descent to play for the U.S. team. Her grandmother, Lai Fong, immigrated from Hong Kong more than 30 years ago as a single mother with three children. Her father came from Hong Kong when he was 16. Now his daughter has visited China– as an American hockey player." Boston Globe.
