After the St. Louis Blues placed Manny Legace on waivers and no other teams rushed to claim the All-Star goalie, as of Saturday, February 7th, Legace was assigned to AHL Peoria, a Blues farm. That is the hockey business, be health and perform or to the minor or waivers/traded you go.
The Blues pulled Legace when he allowed three soft goals on the first eight shots against the Red Wings. Before that Legace did not do too well with knee problems and an operation in the offseason.
It did not help that the Blues defense has not been strong and it is easy to blame the goalie when the D-men did not keep the puck above the blue line.
Keep your spirit up, Manny. This is only a minor set back. You've been there before. Be strong, stay healthy and work hard to get back to NHL soon.
