Aaron Asham #45 Forward - Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, Canada. Aaron was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens, traded to the New York Islanders and then the New Jersey Devils. I selected Aaron for the First Nice Guy Award sponsored by Shorthanded Goal Blog. I noticed when Aaron was leaving the ice after the warm up, a kid called out and asked for a puck. Aaron went back on the ice, picked up a puck and tossed it to the kid. That is nice in my book. I know Aaron is known for being a pest or an agitator. But for his nice gesture to a kid on Saturday, January 31, 2009 in St. Louis, I am pleased to name Aaron Asham of the Philadelphia Flyers "The SHG Nice Guy Award". Congratulations, Aaron!
